Much appreciated. Totally agree with 980110's comments. Deceptively simple (or complicated ?) I think it is definitely one which sounds best when you try and play as close to Broonzy as you can. And yours does an excellent job.

This is a very special favourite of mine - it's great that someone has translated it into easy to follow notes and chords. Great stuff (5*)

@BitchBeTrollinHard IF you need tab, I suggest you order one of the many excellent instructional videos available from Steffan Grossman's guitar workshop. Once you learn the basic concepts of this style, you can figure out most anything w/o needing tab. But, these videos all include nicely done tab books. I strongly recommend Steffan Grossman's three parts series on learning country blues guitar.

This lesson is a godsend. Every version I've ever learned, or tried to learn, is more ragtime than bluesy, and no version gets the single note runs right. You are as close to record as any I've seen. Thanks!!!

Thanks! I spent a lot of time listening to this song - and still have parts to figure out. It's not difficult, but Big Bill was very creative - adding variations to his playing each time around.

I've just heard Big Bill's version of this song today and fell in love. I am glad you have a lesson up for this great song. You sir... are the man!

Thanks! If you want to hear my favorite version of this song, check out Katie Webster singing it. She recorded on Excello - the same label with Slim Harpo. They should have it on YouTube somewhere. I only wish I could sing it like Big Bill. I'm glad you are enjoying me lesson - thanks again!
