@davidbluedavidblack Don't get me wrong, I have been a devoted Lennon fan since a little boy in the 60s but when I first heard 'Mind Games' album fully, which I didn't until 1981, I was disappointed with many of the tracks. I had 'Imagine' album when it was quite new in 1971. I first heard W & Bs when I borrowed it from a record library in 1977. I liked it then but with the benefit of hindsight, it's not an all time classic like his first two solo music albums (not inc. Live Peace)

@TheKenfig yeah youre right its just tough for me to call a song bad when u know how honest the songwriter is and how good his voice is. new york and woman is the n of the world r both in my top 10 as far as his solo efforts go

@davidbluedavidblack Well I think STINYC is generally poor, Mind Games is too with the exception of the title track, and W & B is no Imagine or POB but does have 2 outstanding tracks

@TheKenfig more than half the songs on each album r great who u kidding?

John's albums after Imagine ranged from poor to patchy

@scrummyporridge, I think he'd be still producing great albums and who knows? Maybe even working with his own Sean on some things. That would be great to see, if only John was still alive.

@scrummyporridge
speaking out against the war, injustices against the poor, making great music, hanging with paul and ringo occasionally, and producing both sean and julian's albums
