My first attempt at recording on my brand new fretless Mountain Banjo from Bisbonian Banjo Works. Learning to play fretlessly is a challenge, but I wanted to get a sound file of the banjo up.
The banjo is made of Walnut and Maple, and has a 6" goatskin head, friction pegs made of walnut to keep the look going.
The tuning is a low Double A (Double C down 3 frets) on Aquila Nylgut Minstrel strings.
(The tuning given here is correct - I messed up in the notes in the video.)
Great Banjo, BanjoBrad...very good for your first fretless video.....

Thanks for the tune. I would have commented last night, but after watching, I had my banjo out working out this gem for myself. You are sounding pretty good on that fretless

Thanks for putting this up, Brad...great to see it!
(You can trim those strings off any time you think the stretching has settled down ;)
