Police used teargas pepper spray and rubber bullets against University of Pittsburgh students during the Pittsburgh G20 Summit. Many of the students were not part of any demonstration but bystanders, curious to find a mass of armed riot police on their campus. For more information and videos visit http://indypgh.org/g20

Thanks for not reading at all. And furthermore, do your homework next time - University of Pittsburgh is mandated by the Commonwealth System of Higher Education, meaning they receive state funds but still are under independent state. AKA, not public property.
The First Amendment posits a right to ASSEMBLE. Furthermore, taxpayers own public property. Who do you think pays for the majority of salaries, upkeep costs, etc. for the university and its employees? STUDENTS. Saying that that property is owned by a PUBLIC university is like saying that Yellowstong National Park is owned by the gov't. Dangerous thoughts man.
In regards to your Constitution bit, it's a nice little snippet and all but the fact is the police WEREN'T infringing on Constitutional rights. They never said the students had to stop protesting, just that they had to leave the property they were on. They WEREN'T on public property if it's owned by the university, which it WAS.
You expect a normal police detail to move hundreds of students who refuse to do so on their own accord? And the Pittsburgh police don't have to be affiliated with the university to ENFORCE THE LAW when the university ASKS THEM TO. Stop acting like the police were doing this of their own accord. They weren't. The university needed their enforcement, so they were called upon.
The idea that the cops couldn't handle this situation is dumb.
These people, many whom were NOT protesting, were NON VIOLENT. What little crime was committed duing the entire event could have easily been taken care of by a normal police detail. There is no indication that anyone at the university did anything to start this rights violation, and the recordings that the LRAD's were playing, said the order was coming from the Pitt COP, who is NOT affiliated with the university.
What laws were broken by these students? Laws are NOT imaginargy in nature, subject to abstract interpretation. They are well defined. What laws, specifically, were being broken by students of the university refusing to leave the public property to which they are entitled be be on?
The police have NO AUTHORITY to designate public places off limits to the public to avoid protests.
YOU said, "It's also the LAW to not be on someone's property when they ask you leave."
Who's property is the University of Pittsberg?
When THEY ask you to leave THEIR PRIVATE property, THEY, and only THEY can ask the police to force you to leave or arrest you if you refuse.
This university is a PUBLIC university, on PUBLIC property, and is certainly NOT owned by the police, the mayor, or anyone else, that was there given orders to disburse.
@FreeinTX The police were CALLED UPON by the university since they themselves couldn't handle the situation. The police are acting based on what the university called them to do. There is a law against these people to be demonstrating on university property, and so the UNIVERSITY ordered the people to leave. When they didn't, the LAW ENFORCEMENT was called in to ENFORCE the LAW. What you're describing is just moronic, and you seem to think the university didn't want these people to leave at all.

"Congress shall make NO LAW ..., infringing on the feedom of speech and freedom of the press, ...." 1st Amendment
Then there is, "ANY LAW that is repugnant to the Constitutuion is NULL AND VOID!" Marbury v Madison
So, let's be clear, there can be NO LAW to prohibit protests on PUBLIC PROPERTY, and any law they make is NULL AND VOID!!!
Every single exeption issued by the supreme court has been based on rights to access and limits on dangerous speech (Fire in a theater!)
Who is following what laws?
What laws were broken by these students? Laws are NOT imaginargy in nature, subject to abstract interpretation. They are well defined. What laws, specifically, were being broken by students of the university refusing to leave the public property to which they are entitled be be on?

That's a violation of our HUMAN RIGHTS!
