  • @ByGraceThruFaith88 Quoting the OT is all well and good, but we are no longer under its rule of faith and its practices. Anyone who denies that the Jews/Isrealites used instruments is clearly just blind, however, in the NT, which our faitha dn hope is rooted in, there is no such command as is found in the OT. However, In Ephesians 5:19 we are told to "Sing and make music from your HEART unto the Lord." the heart is the greatest instrument of all, and instruments only serve to entertain ourselves

  • @ByGraceThruFaith88 ... The book of Hebrews clearly teaches that the Old Testament pattern of worship should no long be used. There is a new, superior way to worship. Would you advise us to make sacrifices at the Temple too? The New Testament makes no mention of instruments in worship. Therefore, stating that insturments are acceptable in worship is to add on to the scriptures a man-made doctrine.

  • @appyjdawg Psalm 98:4-5 "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm." I love Acapella music, but the Bible (which is the standard, and should be our sole authority of faith and practice) does not teach that instruments are not to be used, in fact it is quite clear that they play a large part in the worship of the Lord.

  • We need more videos from Cherry Street Church of Christ! Beautiful!

  • The musical instruments not are authorized by God

  • Well, we at the Church of Christ believe that this is the way that the Lord has instructed us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord without instruments. That is what is instructed in His word and that is what we go by.

  • Beautiful singing brother, well done.
