  • The spirit of this song is the string arrangement. There is a live version without the orchestra strings and it's so whiny and poor. In those days the line between country and rock/pop was so thin and the arrangement made sure that rockers would dig in. And to prove it, at 1:43 that guy in the middle is seriously rocking!

  • Great song and message...let's stop building up people to be something they are not and enjoy each other now...you take the good and you take the bad...and hope love wins out in the end in friendship or more...It's a positive song actually...no relationships lost here...the song is just keeping it real...

  • That was the style then and we never thought anything of it. A good looking woman is a good looking woman whatever the styles.

  • Mar Kjartansson Nice Song but not many times in the Radio.

  • i still rember how much of a classic this song was back then, and to day it still sounds just as good as it did way beack then as well.

  • Thank's for this country classic, Just listen to that backing arangement particularly the strings and vocals - fantastic.
