Skeptics call the certificate a forgery, though their claims have been repeatedly debunked."

The core issue is that they issued a facsimile of a Certification of Live Birth, which is a virtually worthless document that even a non-citizen can be issued.

The blog continues: "Now comes word that U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, a reservist who lives in Florida, is challenging his deployment based on that argument. Reports the Ledger-Enquirer out of Columbus, Georgia: "Cooks lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obamas presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for his client." "Cook is arguing that because Mr. Obama isn't really the president (and thus isn't the commander in chief), the soldier "would be acting in violation of international law by engaging in military actions outside the United States under this President's command. ... simultaneously subjecting himself to possible prosecution as a war criminal by the faithful execution of these duties."

@Gatorade5152 OK, now I'm confused. Is it about nationality or about religion? Because, believe it or not, a birth certificate does not say anything about a person's religion.

And are the US fighting against terrorism or against a religion? You know, I thought you had freedom of religion, but if you don't I have to apologise for accidentally calling the US a country that respects personal freedom.

@EPR89 it isn't that, it is. If he is Muslim, before he became President, that would pose a serious threat. Because we are fighting muslims, and to have one as the President would make the US defenses useless. It isn't about whether or not he is good at his "job" it is whether or not he is a risk to national security.

According to the law the President must have parents that are both American born citizens. His father is Kenyan. Just that makes him unqualified to hold the office. He can't be dual citizenship either, which he would be if his father is not American therefore he is dual citizenship at the very least. It's simple logic and it is the law. He is not qualified to hold the office of President. Next election will tell how smart or stupid American voters are.
