@ASignOfContradiction - continued...The Holy Spirit is a Gentlemen, He woos you, not forces you, to KNOW HIM...
It is not thru the rosary, or praying to Mary that gets one close to God...in fact, we are told by the angels-see that you worship God alone, do not bow to us...that is in Scripture! Another point to add-Purgatory was created by the Catholic Church...it does not exist in Biblical Doctrine...Jesus said 'It is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE, AND THEN, THE JUDGEMENT...No 2nd Chances. L.

@ASignOfContradiction - Incorrect doctrine, sorry...Christ reached out to me, a sinner, of Protestant faith, after I left home...my parents weren't Christians and not Catholic by name.
I have been 'saved' for over 35 years, yet, it is a daily walk with Him...ups and downs...
The Catholic Church is not the answer, Christ is!...ur last statement about heresies, is what brought on the Inquisition...is that what you want again? Christ never lifted His Hand to murder anyone. to be cont'd. L.

@willthacheerleader18 Where did I claim that non-Catholic Christians are damned? How could I pontificate on the unknown? I worry about my own salvation. What I do believe is that without full acess to all the sacraments, especially the Eucharist, then its tough to be saved. Not impossible, tough. Its like running a marathon with a poor diet, no shoes and muddy water. Not impossible, but very very tough. Rather than give the false belief that their sect is approved, i choose to summon home.

@ASignOfContradiction He did say that, in that they are not complete Christians. But they are not damned, or unChristian because of it. If you chose not to listen to the Holy Father today, then that is your decision.

@willthacheerleader18 See other comments below. Pius XI in Mortalium Animos states INFALLIBLY that ALL those who have separated from the Catholic Church are "pan-christians" and "False Christians". Read it yourself. A comment by a pope is nothing but opinion UNLESS used infallibly, such as by Pius XI. Otherwise it was unnecessary for Christ to found ONE Church. He could have saved us a lot of drama by saying form separate groups and do and believe your own thing. But he didnt.

@ASignOfContradiction that is not true. it is the most complete of the Christian faiths. His Holiness has himself recognized this, and refers to protestants and orthodox as Christian bretheren as well. True, the Catholic Church is the only Bride and True Church, and many denominations came out of heresies, but the Church still sees those others as Christians.
-
@willthacheerleader18 The ONLY Christian faith. Pope Pius XI calls other denominations 'false' Christians in Mortalium Animos. Catholicism is not one among many but the only Church founded by Christ. All others are man-made heresies.

@AndyMKordo your ego is showing your need for recognition that you are intelligent and able to make critical l analysis of history instead why not do something important words are cheap

@AndyMKordo I know what Catholic means, as I am a Catholic. No, the Catholics did not take those books out, they were never included in our canon. You then have the Oriental Orthodox who added even more books (like Enoch) to the bible. No, catholics believe every bishop and therefore priest has apostolic succession, otherwise they wouldnt be allowed to administer the Blessed Sacrament.
Catholicism, the most beautiful of all Christian faiths. God Bless the Catholic Church, and may He have Mercy on us and grant us His Grace!

@AndyMKordo Yes, there have been bad popes. Yes the church has done bad things.. you point being? That the church is made up of sinners? Yes I know, the bible makes that very clear. That even the Pope can sin? Yes, Catholics believe that too. Protestants and Orthodox have killed many as well.. that doesnt make their churches any less "beautiful". I was talkinga bout the hymns for Christ's sake. Indulgences? Really? that was somethin done in the 1500s hun. A bit late on that.
