Vader got bested by galen marek and he couldnt use force lighting and he didnt even fully kill darth sidious. darth sideous lived after the part in the movie where he got thrown into the pit, he existed as a force ghost and eventually went back to the outer rim world of Byss where he kept a supply of clones that he could use "spirit transference" to. he finally got killed by Empatojayos Brand when he tried to use spirit transference and instead got absorbed into a dying Empatojayos Brand.
