The "UPC" (United Pentecostal Church) is a separate denomination from

"Mainline Pentecost", (Church of God, Assembly of God, Pentecostal

Holiness, Foursquare Gospel, Church of God in Christ, Church of God

of Prophecy), which believe in the Trinity and the whole Bible literally as

it is written.

UPC believe that Jesus IS Father, Son & Holy Ghost, using the verse

"For in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily..." and, most

importantly they baptize IN JESUS' NAME ONLY.

@lpwis Dr. Martin ascended June 26, 1989. One God in in nature and in essence, in three persons, who are eternal and distinct. "Ice, Water, Vapor." The Father sends the Son, the Son prays to the Father, the Son sends the Holy Spirit.

...Not "put away" the "Filth of the flesh",(has no saving power) It is "an answer" of a "good conscience" toward God. (as a result of the "saving power" of the "circumcission without hands", done by the Holy Spirit in baptising us "into Christ", not water. 1.Cor.12:13) Meaning that our "answer" in "water baptism", is an act of obedience which happens only "AFTER" we have obtained a "good conscience" toward God, by the "Baptism into Christ", performed by the Holy Spirit, (as the Agent)

..."into Christ", has nothing to do with "water Baptism", but has everything to do with the "circumcission without hands" (spoken of in Col.2:11-13) "burried with Him"(Christ) "in baptism",(not water) it is the "Operation of God", (not a pastor or elder) but teh "Holy Spirit" who baptises us "into Christ", (1.Cor.12:13)

That is why in 1.Pet.3:21 , we are told that "water baptism" is a "like figure unto", (that means, a "mirror image of ") the "baptism that Saves", It, (water baptism) does...

The problem here in the opening statements on "baptism", is that the UPC falsely believes the "Baptism into Christ",(the element bptizes into) done by the "Holy Spirit",(as the agent who performs this baptism,1.Cor.12:13) refers to "water baptism". This is a patently wrong understanding, and indicates the lack of Biblical knowledge by teh UPC scholars ! All Baptism, is defined by three things; "The candidate", "the element" and "the agent ". And as such it becomes clear that being baptized..

Dear Walter how does the father and the son exist face to face everywhere at all times if they are both spirit and light(greek grammer)? Then you say "J"esus was born in the flesh. The Father is pure light energy and exists in multiple dimensions at the same time... no man can see the father's face and live. Our Creator has made a way for use to know him, and he came in the fathers name and image... Yahshua.

Baptizing in Jesus' name only, instead of following Matthew 28;19=

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name

of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

is such a fanatical part of UPC doctrine they insist no

one is saved UNLESS baptized THE UPC WAY.

I have friends in the UPC who love Jesus so much they

make incredible sacrifices winning souls for Him. I

let Jesus work out the doctrine, as I fear to debate in

the presence of such devotion to Christ.
