Ha...First video I've ever seen with an Acela locomotive pulling Amfleet cars. Does that happen often?

@cuznvinnie818 Actually this is not an the main Acela locomotive you are thinking off, this locomotive is an Acela Hhp-8 locomotive that is double headed, if you look closely unlike the one headed Acela Express trains that have 6 cars and two locomotives. This Amtrak train is just a regional train. Therefor it only pulls Amfleet coach cars. I hope this clarifies things for you :)

that was an engine similar to the acela engines. It is not quite as aerodynamic as the acela engines and has controls at both ends. It is also more powerful because like you said each acela trainset has 2 engines. But they look extremely similar especially at high speeds. If you want more info on them look up HHP-8. There pretty cool locomotives.
