The best part of Blender 3D, besides the aspect of it being free, is the fact that it works on almost all computers, including Linux and Mac. This makes it applicable for all the amateur animators in the world, especially for the ones on a small budget, just getting through school. Yes, the interface is confusing at first, but you slowly get used to it. And, you can also edit the interface simply by right-clicking on a divider bar, and splitting the area.
