The British ocean liner, RMS Queen Mary sailed the oceans for over 31 years until her retirement which ended on December 9th, 1967 after being purchased by the City of Long Beach, California for $3.45 Million. Today, we celebrate 40 years of our gracious Queen's reign in Long Beach.

Actually the Queen Mary has been in Long Beach California for 44 years And My first time Aboard the Queen Mary was August 25th 1991 as a 13 year old teenager

The song is entitled "Book of Days" by Enya. The song was originally released as a bonus track in the original Gaelic-language version on her 1988 album, "Watermark" and a featured track on her 1991 album, "Shepard Moons". An english version was featured prominently in the film, "Far and Away" in 1993. All releases of the song are in english from 1993 onward. This song was what inspired James Cameron for the style of music score needed for his 1997 film, "Titanic".

There are only a handful that are widely known. The user "shipgeek" has a short home movie (8mm i believe) that was taken across from Pier E (where she berthed the morning of Dec. 9th) and there are a couple newsreel clips that you can also find on youtube as well.
