If you live in Riverside or the surrounding area, you are cordially invited to participate in a video shoot for the exhibition "Play Against" at the UCR Sweeney Art Gallery, a solo show by artist duo JEFF&GORDON that addresses the foreclosure crisis.

The foreclosure crisis is readily framed as a "blame game," apportioning blame and victimhood to people who lost the house "they could not afford," or "didn't work hard enough to keep."

JEFF&GORDON want to counteract this all-too prevalent notion with their artwork, and they want YOU to be a part of it!

The artists and UCR Sweeney Art Gallery invite both people who have been affected by foreclosure
and members of the community at large to appear on video, standing together as a group in a
silent gesture of community pride and solidarity. The video will be projected in the gallery for the
run of the show, October 29 through December 10.

After the video shoot representative from the Fair Housing Council of Riverside will be will be offering
free foreclosure prevention information to homeowners who have experienced a financial hardship
and are facing difficulty making mortgage payments. This informative session will give homeowners a
better understanding of Foreclosure Prevention options, as well as tips on how to effectively
communicate with their lender, and gain insight on various foreclosure prevention programs that
could help save their homes.
