One more successful year for the First Lego League Buildbots Team. This time performing a perfect run on practice (400 points) and 378 during the official tournament.
Check out the "Looney Lander", a platform that the robot uses to carry itself to the target. No fourth motor involved!
Congratulation to all the members who achieved Silver medal in the British Columbia FLL Provincial Tournament!
This is NOT 400 points. It is a touch penality at 1:12! But it is a very good idea and it's amazing!

@MyMagicOnline: thanks for your comment but why do you say it's a touch penalty? The robot is not in run mode at 1:12, it's in preparation (it can be out of base when being prepared, as long as it is completely in base when launched for a mission).
cheers

Good question. We actually confirmed with Scott Evans before going to the tournament. The ramp is no longer part of the robot as soon as the robot stops touching the ramp. It becomes a stray object which can be taken out of the way.
Therefore there is no penalty.
Thanks for watching!
