VIESE aka V.C. is available for adoption through Friends of Homeless Animals, www.foha.org -- (703) 385-0224.

I'm V.C., or Viese. You can call me either one, seeing as they're both pronounced the same way! I came to Friends by way of a feral colony, but I'm not feral at all. You can tell from looking at me, though, that I've probably seen a scrap or two in my time on the streets. I must say, though, that I'm very glad to be enjoying the indoor cat life and all the good things that brings. One of the best things that the indoor life here at Friends brings is the opportunity to find a family of my own. While I'm waiting, I get plenty of pets and affection...something that street life was definitely lacking. I even have made some new best buddies here at the Friends cattery, including some other cats who have stories much like mine of life on the streets, now far in the past. I like to be pet, be scratched around the ears, and head-butt legs. Now, some people may think that black cats are bad luck, but I have to say that nothing could be further from the truth. Speaking purr-sonally, I've had so much good luck as of late, I'm thinking it's got to be contagious. I'm sure if you pet me a lot, some of that good luck will rub off on you. Yes, you can think of me as your good luck charm. Now, you know how if you rub a genii's bottle, the genii will appear and give you three wishes? Maybe petting me works the same way! What do you think? Well, I'm sure it will work out exactly like that, in fact, especially if your first wish is for a loving feline companion in your life. See, what could be more lucky? You and me together would make one truly lucky pair.
