She received a part scolership based on her voice. the other part was raised by doing a concert in Alaska, but no promise she'd make it in music. she was working as a receptionist in california were her mother relocated after her divorce.She was fired from her job for not sleeping with her boss.both her and her mother then decided to live in their cars to save on rent and and focus on her singing career. I've been homeless and it's horrible.Jewel was harrassed. harassement is the way she does

i think u should do some research.

she got a scolarship to go to that school. she lived in her car because she couldnt afford her rent (she didnt get a months pay from java joe's because she wouldnt sleep with her boss). if that's not a hsrd life i dont know what is. if anything it's played down in interviews because she speaks about it so casually.

For a girl who lived in a Van..she went to an expensive private arts high school. Before she even managed to graduate high school, someone was shelling out $40,000+ a year for her to go there.
