Four Folk Song Upsettings, S. 4 for Mezzanine Soprano, Devious Instruments, and Piano. Edited, by not gussied up by Prof. Peter Schickele. Performed Nov. 18, 2005 by Tara Guthrie, soprano, Judy Walters, piano, and Trey Hamlin, "devious instruments." The instrument Trey is playing on this song is called the "tuba mirum." Instructions are given in the score for making and playing the tuba mirum. I chose to sing this with a slight Brooklyn accent (the best I could!) since it mentions the Brooklyn Bridge.
