  • The video is a demo of a custom built shield for an Arduino. It's embedded in the post on my blog which details the build in gory detail.

  • Not sure why people have to post bad comments. The person made and programmed the thing and just wanted to put a video of it working on here. He doesn't owe any of you anything. Yes you can turn on a faucet by hand or buy some sort of automatic valve in the store, but the principal is that it is something this person created themselves and I admire the fact that they wanted to show their accomplishment.

  • This video is all but useless. Anyone knows that an MCU can control valves. You showed that you did it. You didn't show how you did it. A wire from a PC board goes to something that looks like a valve. Water Flows. Give me any PCB and something that looks like a valve and I'll have a video for you in 30 minutes or less.

  • can you tell me which water valve that is?

  • wow, I turn my tap manually to do the same

  • Thanks for taking the time to do a "live" show of this, and add to the body of arduino info!
