I was right behind this guy! I enjoyed every bit of the experience. Hitched from Seattle, got my ticket by a miracle and a prayer and found a nice grassy knoll to rest my head at the end of the evening. Shakedown street was fun with lots of good music and the next day I got a great ride back to Seattle with these folks in a cozy RV. Had time to stop for a dip in the Columbia River before heading down the road again listening to Willie. No expectations, just enjoying the ride!
I'm 46 and got my ass kicked by tour, and I only did a third of it! I love it, and am glad they keep it going on. And I think this is the BEST post Jerry band yet! Hope there is a lot more to come. Even if Phil sings! Rather have it than not... very grateful!
well I saw a a lot of shows in the day and recently, and I liked this one quite a bit. maybe they were a bit tired, but it still rocked me and touched me and made me glad to be alive and seeing The Dead! I like Warren, but I was fine with Bob on Eyes, and I also like the way they share Dark Star (all though the "of di-ah-monds" got corny). We all got opinions, but see if you can rock that hard that many nights in a row when you are in your 60's!
Well maybe I should write for rolling stone. And I did camp, and I have been to several shows, was this your first one??
I likes hearing the music as well, but if you have been to a show before, this one was a little rough. It had it's moments and was still good, was just hoping for a little more, focus your anger somewhere else bra,
If you want to see a show that has no flaws and is over processed like the McDonalds you ate for lunch, then go see a Broadway show. I ll be looking for your next article in the next issue of "Asshole Weekly" Your all KOokS!
Do write for Rolling Stone or something? You seem to be really informed and critical about a band that has played for 3 decades. You knew they are aging and it was last day of the tour. I personally had an amazing time. I'm so glad I did not camp anywhere near you. You probably did not camp, most likely you stayed at the nearest hotel. Was that your limo out there? I like hearing the music as they played it for us, the real fans. I like raw music even if it is being played by "tired old men"
I WAS THERE FOR THIS!!! WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE SHOW!
