Ambient Energy demonstrates their use of the IES Virtual Environment (VE) analysis & simulation software on the Colorado State University Engineering II Building. Daylighting and Mixed Mode Ventilation were examined to maximise the efficiency of the atrium.
The atrium presents an interesting project due to the potential 24/7 occupancy, as students come and go to monitor their research projects. The aim was that the occupier should experience a low carbon, well performing and comfortable building.
The original presentation was given at Greenbuild 2011 by Linda Morrison (Ambient Energy).
