I'm an avid MMA practitioner - thank you for this great video. Question: what's the differnce/advantage of this long cycle clean&jerk (where you bend your elbow) versus the standard clean & jerk ???

What do you mean by "standard"? The LCCJ is the actual technique used in Russia by the world champions.

I guess its the other way I've learned it...where you clean the kettlebell straight up as opposed to the method you demostrate where you bend you elbow and swing the kettlebell between your legs

You're talking about the "Hardstyle" promoted by Pavel Tsatsouline. Two different purposes: Hardstyle is for power-cardio; fluid-style is for strength-endurance. Two different tools.

Why don't more MMA fighters do the olympic lifts and full back and front squats? To me. these would be the most beneficial weight room exercises for a fighter.

How many fighters have you trained? Some ppl employ the basic PL and OLY lifts, but only at the beginning phase of training. As training becomes more periodized toward peaking for a fight, conditioning must become more specific to the demands of fighting. Something that the Circular Strength Training System specializes in.

I'm a kettle apprentice only, but I can tell you that the diference between kettlebells and dumbells for a given exercise lies in the center of gravity. it wouldn't be the same if you used a dumbell because the momentum wouldn't carry out the same way

This is BY FAR the best demo of a very difficult exercise. Good work. Excellent video.

Great kettle demo - so few videos online show the correct close elbow technique for getting the bell behind the forearm - let alone explain it properly -

Very detailed instruction on the correct method, thank you. I've been training with a Girevoy trainer but my clean position has been more diagonal, with my fist under my chin and elbow up. I'm going to practice this more vertical shaped clean with the elbow tucked into the hip. I've also really just let the kettle bell drop from the top of the press down onto the clean whereas you seem to come up on your toes and bring it down. Thanks again.
