@jasxpioneer apart from the fact joanne in the ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST doesn't sing the female solo part MRS.JEFFERSON does played by GWEN STEWART so you know :) x

@jasxpioneer Unfair comment I think. You're pronouncing judgment on this singer (and cast) from a clip taken on someone's mobile phone from the back of the theatre. There is a much better sound and visual recording of this cast singing this song at the Perth Telethon 2007, which was recorded from the TV.

Eww, what the heck?! These guys have nothing on the original cast. They don't look like they're having fun at all, and the female soloist? C'mon! She has NO SOUL, and she can't even hit the one note that's supposed to set Joanne apart as the best singer in the cast! She is a disgrace to the character that was brilliantly created by Fredi Walker, and she should not have received that role.

I don't think they took it out - I think the soloist just sung around it cause she couldn't hit the note.

why did they take out the high C at the end? thats like the best part! have to say, thats not my fav live versian :'/

this is really good the only problem I have with it is that there was no clapping. The clapping is totally a part of this song, so I wonder why they took it out.

Anyways, this is a great cast and they did an amazing job.
