Excellent music video! Arken's singing is as usual superb! I truly enjoyed seeing the city of Kashgar - its historical (Muslim) buildings, people and their dance, and everything about it. Very educational. Hope to visit your country some day soon. Aloha from Hawaii.
Don't forget you're an exile taking refuge in MINE country, feeding on we Americans' taxpayers' money. You have the RIGHT to go back to your fatherland - East Turkestan. We Americans have no right to force you to stay in OUR free country.
Yes, exactly - the minorities in China have the right to sing whatever language they like! Because whenever I come watch videos on Uighur or Tibetan music., some exiles will use such sites as a political arena. I've heard such comments countless times -" they are forced to sing in Chinese", or 'Don't lose your cultural roots'', "Don't forget you're an Uighur!" It really pissed me off. I just wanna watch a musical videos.
What do you exactly want to say?! Why/what do you mean by this comment, which is not directed at any other comments, nor it is a comment on what you think of the music and video. Did anybody ask you why does he sing in Chinese? He sings both in Uyghur and in Chinese, I love all of his songs as an Uyghur. We have the right to sing in any language as we choose, but yes, we do not want be forced because without you or others telling us, we still know what is good for us, it's the basic rite!
Assalamualaykum from an Finnish-Norwegian atheist from the US. I know soon some uighur in exiles will say things like the Uighurs are being forcced say to sing Chinese songs. If this singer is so popular among the Chinese, of course he'll sing Chinese songs.
If a Chinese wants to sell his CDs in the US, he has to sing in English. The Uighurs in US try casting Uighur CDS & see if you can have American fans.
Just watch & enjoy the music. If we Americans wish to know about the human rights issues we know which site to go to.
I was in Kashgar in 1994...love the people gentle energy and the beauty.. things have changed. So sad... A wonderful ancient culture. Beautiful architecture.. atmosphere..keep singing..praying for peace. No need for new buildings and actors... the Uyghur are supreme.
