  • Thanks for posting this, this is probably the best account of united flight 232 I've ever seen. What an incredible and unbelievable series of events.

  • I remember watching this series when it was first aired on Channel 4 in the UK during the 90's. The documentary style, the narrators voice and the tragic subject made it compulsive viewing. I have watched several similar such type programmes since then, but (in my opinion) none of them quite came up to the Black Box series. God bless all those poor people who perished in such horrific circumstances.

  • Those pilots and crew are a credit to aviation and their country! Brillian men and women.

My hat is off to you all.

  • This is why pilots get laid.

  • damm that pilot was relistic when he spoke to the flight attendent and thats the way it should be, period.

  • god this isso relaxing after the air crash investigation and 60 seconds to disaster....watching those shows makes you feel like youre in an airplane disaster!.

  • @iloveyourstory yes, except 'that guy' was a United Airlines training captain so it wasn't unusual for him to be allowed in the cockpit, and still wouldnt be.

  • Yea letting that guy in the cockpit was very pre-911. Now, the mere mention of wanting to get into the cockpit would get your pinned down and arrested.

  • This is the kind of TV the British are great at. No sensationalism, cool, calm, informative, sombre even. Excellent, excellent narration too. I was glued to this when it was first shown on Channel Four.

Those pilots and the flight attendant did a terrific job. So composed, truly amazing in the circumstances.

  • Yeah I can't BELIEVE how calm they stayed given what they faced..and Capt. Haynes I think knew what he was probably facing but he had a tiny fighting chance and never quit..he and all the others. WOW... Yes R.I.P. to those who died. ;-(

  • WOW, even the Flight Attendant talking to the cockpit sounded calm and collected!!!

  • Its not your aptitude but your attitude that determines your altitude.
