Just walk away... and I will spare your life.

@soln4suhreborn That was Watts hope when he sold it to the Crockett's, but they botched it like WWF botched the WCW invasion angle.
-
@SmilingSynic Bill Watts revamped Mid South as the Universal Wrestling Federation in early 1986 and it operated until the end of 1987 when it was sold to Jim Crockett Promotions and dismantled soon after. I really wished Crockett would have kept it active as a separate organisation.

@eslubin Long and glorious career has nothing to do with it. they didn't book to get him over for years and years. They got him over for the next few months of house shows, and believe me, Humongous was WAY over after this match. This worked extrememly well in getting him over as a monster. This was a very much talked about & remembered angle. None of us ever dreamed Murdoch would be abused like that. The whole "Road Warrior" look was very over at the time, as well.

Oliver Humperdink changed Jeff Van Kamp's height. Jeff is not 6'8", he's 6'6". He currently works as a deputy sheriff in Pensacola, FL. That's why he left wrestling, because he always wanted to work in law enforcement.

mid-south was awesome around this time, who remembers when Humongous walked thru the warehouse in Houston? and Dark Journey was hotttttttttttt
-
Used to have this on VHS back in the day.....BTW, this was not the Sid Vicious Humongous. Murdoch cut a great promo after this, wish I could find it.
-
@seanalf I remember those two. the 1st one who was the high school coach was Mike Starks, then Sid Vicious. This one is Jeff Van Kamp.
-
@gonzomoya420 yeah because humongous went on to a long and glorious career...
-
why would they let him wrestle in a mask and metal spikes. of course he'd be a badass with those weapons!
The video is a lil messed up at the beginning. It clears up around 0:55. Sorry about that!!
