lol I understand modern art, I appreciate much of it, I do some installation art myself but what I am saying is much of it is not good art. Giving something a clever 'meaning' that makes you say "oh yeah, I get it" does not make something good. Fair enough if the guy wants to put these things in a space, but personally I would be embarased to show this. Just my opinion , but then projecting a video onto a tree would actualy interest me much more lol. Each to their own I suppose..

vik muniz is great, it's you who is stuck in a different era of art. art is no longer about making beautful or odd paintings. If you try hard, you'll get it; you'll enjoy it greatly afterwards! Now, do you really thing everybody pretends or puts a big acting show so that you and other people don't get it? Come on, this is more than a conspiracy theory! It's new ideas, it's all about ideas triggering other ideas in your own mind. You are really missing out.

does this guy believe this shit? of is he just there for the free wine? its like that comedy sketch where they crowd around this modern sculpture talking about its asthetics and its subtle form until a cleaner comes over and empties it (the bin).
