  • Wow, it absolutely astounds me that people actually came to my hometown for that purpose. I thoroughly enjoyed this stereotype being completely overturned!

  • I like how they zoomed in on the guys wearing cammo. Because we all know hunters are more hateful/racist than the next guy.

  • but i don't like muslims BECAUSE THEY THINK WE ARE INFIDELS

  • Hey im a muslim lady living in a military town in the states and i was nervous when i first moved here but, you find good people and bad people every where...just because its a small town with a lot of white people doesnt mean they are going to be racist....White people aren't the only racist people....I have been called names by people of all colors...

  • lol!!!!

  • Ok, people, Arab is not bad at all... we do not judge from your colored skin, or ur differnt beliefs and regions.... Arab is my hometown, we dont have druggys or anything like that.... I'll admit, there is some country talkin hillybillys, or watever u wanna call them in Arab.... we have a really good school system here as well.... Arab is a small town, and i know there's not much to do here either, but go to huntsville. but, it is a beatiful place when u come and find them, Arab is my hometown

  • Did they actually do their research? The towns name was misspelled by the post office. It was supposed to be, Arad, the name of the founders son.

Arab is a small town, so yes it is predominantly white, but there are other ethnicities. My best friend from high school and her family are Persian!!

I just think there are more important things going on on our country and the world. Why try to get attention by visiting Arab??

    Oh, and Roll Tide!!! :)

  • @rocksthesocks...so true. You will find racist people everywhere. I grew up in Arab and can speak for myself and the people I know that we are not racist. I mean, I'm half Lebanese and lived in Arab for 16 years w no problems.

I have also lived in Miami and Vegas and see just as much racism, if not more, here than in Arab!!!

I am proud that I grew up in Arab!!

  • Just be glad you didn't go to Heflin..

  • Arab just has a bad reputation from its attitude from older residents. Things used to be really racist in the 70's against African Americans, but things have changed. We're still mainly White, but our attitudes are no more, and probably less than, racist then the more mixed schools.

  • This is offensive!! I am Lebanese American from Arab!! And who this Jonathan guy and why didn't they do more research before?

Why talk about the "survivalist looking characters"? These people are racist! Why doesn't the professor help the women from his country?!?!?!
