I lived through this. Using Vivaldi's Winter from The Seasons is very clever and imaginative!

Why are most of the windshield wipers in the upright position (as in when you wash the windshield)? Did all of the these people have the foresight to place them this way in order to clear the snow from the glass easier. Stay tuned for ....in depth interviews with all of the vehicles owners.

I live in the North West Suburbs. I work in the city.

Yes, idiots were out and about. I saw some woman in the middle of Irving Park in pajamas.... Did you see what I wrote? WOMAN- MIDDLE- ROAD- IRVING PARK- PAJAMAS....

But, I see your point. I wasn't trying to say that those with jobs should have stayed home- I don't want anyone to get between me and my earnings, so I wouldn't dare contend we force individuals to stay home, or anything of that nature.

    I'm merely remember the morons.

Not sure where you live, but NO ONE was driving around where I lived. Ppl couldn't dig their cars out for a week and that's if you were on a street. If you were in a garage...A LOT longer. My point - no one was being an idiot; just got off work and the snow was coming down & they were all just trying to get home; like anyone would.

That wasn't a street these ppl were on; that was Lakeshore Drive - a large expressway that ppl use to get home in a hurry. Many take expressways & main streets, b/c those are plowed first & continuously. And depending on where you live, an expressway is the only option. In the 2011 instance, the snow piled up a lot faster than anyone predicted. That blizzard affected ppl for weeks. Trust, closing the expressway until it was safe wld hve been best. 100s of cars had2 be abandoned. A complete mess

The Mayor should not have closed a single street.

If retards made a conscious choice to put themselves and others in danger by taking a street that had not been plowed they deserve to pay.

Life is one giant opportunity cost. Closing streets because pedestrians are ignorant is no excuse for penalizing capable, and competent, vehicles and individuals.

The storm was beautiful, though. I was driving around shoveling old ladies out of their drive ways. One of the happiest days of my life.
