Last night (March 19, 2008) at Craig Morrison's lecture series "The History of British Rock" (held at Café Kats in Montreal) I was asked to give a talk on British skiffle. Following my talk I brought out the necessary instruments to do a "hands on" skiffle demonstration. Craig and I played guitars and volunteers from those in attendance played the tea chest bass and the washboard. We skiffled for about a half hour. Here are some of those moments.....

    Lew...

This skiffle tutorial really got me clappin' my hands and stampin' my feet as the jam session progressed along. Very atmospheric and laid back, this demonstration did my heart a lot of good.

    Peace,
