A new version of Abd El Haleem's mawood (promised ) performed by number one Sax player in Egypt and the middle east Samir Surour's band, ironicly, Samir Surour started as a saxophone player in Abd El Haleems's Massya band !سمير سرور
The music for mawood was originally written by the legendary composer Baligh Hamdy, who also wrote "alf layla we layla" "el hob koloh", and "Sawah".عبد الحليم موعود

  • No, not new to Arabic songs. I've been listening and dancing to them for over 35 years. I was only asking as the poster had said it was new, but I think he meant that it was a "new rendition". :-)

  • Try this link posted by Arabchick21 (abdel halim hafez-samir srour-arabic music...). Am not allowed to post the link unfortunately. I have the CD. Mawood is ~13 mins. The CD also has kusara, ala ed al shawk, tekhonou, etc. It's a Samir Srour arrangement. Forever Samir Srour, Abdel Halim Hafez & Baligh Hamdi!

  • Who ever loves Halim message me and add me as a friend

Abdel Halim was the most loved and still is singer in the Middle East by far no body comes close and among the most in the world certainy

Halim was extremely intelligant ,humble person who every single day would give to people money and food. Halim was a huge giver Halim helped so many people . Halim worked by far the hardest on making his songs

Halim was very strong. He never gave up no matter what Thank you
