Improvisation on a tap instrument I designed and build myself. I call the instrument The Pharaoh.

No editing of the tone was done. The tone is from running the instrument straight into the computer.

Crossed and Uncrossed are tap instrument references to if the hands cross over the fretboard (Crossed) or not (Uncrossed).

  • Both coureses are tuned like a guitar, but are a whole step down (d instead of e). The bass side is an octave lower than the treble side.

  • Can you explain the pickups used in the instrument? I have just begun playing a Godin with SA, in order to experiment with computer access. I am guessing this type of instrument would lend itself to Piezo's

  • what's the tuning fo that instrument?? ooU

  • Lovely stuff, really glad to hear it. Well worth the wait. Sounds woody, despite the aluminium (English spelling). It was aluminium in the neck wasn't it?

I see what you meant about the wide neck but it looks so good I am sure it doesn't matter.

  • I see what you meant on the forum about the wide neck.

Your left hand doesn't look too comfortable there - having the thumb stretched over all the time.
