I literally don't own a staff now I'm in college at home on vacation. I'm going to a very nearby bamboo forest and finding a perfect piece to make a staff with. Wrapping a grip around the bottom and all... Otherwise I'm picking up a dowel stick at Home Depot or something they work just fine :) I used to use them all the time when I was your son's age. I will post my staff video ASAP; my apologies for cluttering up your page I deleted the ugly comments.

@glimmerman108 ok you got some knowledge. I'm a brown belt in Shotokan dont act like i dont have an open mind cause im giving a little criticism. That white tiger story is cool though sorry for disrespecting your dojo; I thought it was just another copycat YMCA type place that gives out certificates for money. I would like to learn Kempo but I just favor Karate and Hapkido. I also learned some good staff wor and moves from a Kung-Fu friend so I mix it up when I fight I am a kick machine.

@jpek919 "White Tiger" was the name of my dojo at the time. It was named after Meibukan Kaicho, Hanshi Meitoku Yagi's kata Byakko (white tiger.) *It was the only one of the Meibuken kata that I learned. My disciplines are: Okinawa Goju-Ryu, Motobu-ha Shito-Ryu, and Nippon Seibukan Jujutsu (Aikibudo.) I could educate you if you had an open mind and good attitude...
