We need to work hard to introduce our rich culture to the rest of the world.....we are a bit behind in that sector...
BTW, I make these kirars (with some more features, like in-built destortion and alternate pick-up switch) here in the U.S....I am now working on a short clip of demo on how it works and introducing the new features.....Stay tuned...

Thanks for that info. There seems little on the internet about East African music that is written in English, and it has never caught on as well in America as has the music of southern and western African nations. That is unfortunate. I have found some very interesting performers in the few months I have been watching Eritrean vids. Dawit is definitely one of my favorites.

The board is a fret that helps change major of the Kirar by puting a capo....with this Kirar, ther No need to re-tune it to a differnt major....

I have not seen a krar like this one before. Is that a finger board of some sort at the top? Is it meant for some different type of playing?
