Lt. Dan Choi, discharged under Don't Ask Don't Tell and founder of http://knightsout.org, eloquently uses his knowledge of Arabic as he speaks at a protest rally in East Los Angeles, hours after the California Supreme Court rules to uphold Prop 8, May 26th, 2009 - Decision Day.

  • how good is his arabic accent? just wondering haha..

  • He was a Iraqi Arabic language instructor in the Army

  • why Arabic?

  • i am Islam

  • for those of us who actually served while gay in the military, we know that DADT is simply discrimination towards a minority group. Some units in the military enforce it, and others, like mine, just turn a blind eye. I agree that "love is worth it" may not work. Rather, all gay people need to live forceful and decent lives that show that gay people are a normal part of the human race.

  • You watch. Next he'll convert to Islam. Then all this will be pointless...

    Because they'll kill him.

  • that's a fired up speech with lots of conflict between feelings and rational meanings.

those who stood up against injustice for equal rights and treatment under the law are applauded. let's be clear though, obama straddles the safe spot on the fence and opposes same sex marriage while pledging support to the LGBT community to garner votes & starry-eyed followers.

you will 'tell' your commander in chief not to fire you? hardly.

  • Yay gay love! Yay butt sex! Because LUBE IS WORTH IT!!! Get your lube here, only $2.99. Now is not the time for anal bleeding! LOL

  • And nobody is suggesting that we as a society should allow child brides, rape, or polygamy. Simply that consenting adults should be allowed to choose their partners on the terms they choose. Consenting. Living. Adults. The arguments you make are inflammatory and useless.
