Almost makes me believe in angels. As far as I'm concerned this rendition is perfect.

Lovely singing! It is always sad when the vocal change occurs!

voices of angels

He's brilliant, his high notes are spot-on and he is a true angel on Earth. I miss Tom Cully from Libera who left the choir in 2009; he was a treble just like this guy. God Bless Libera.

Absolutely beautiful, both the lyrics and the voices.

I recorded myself singing this song as well and I cannot for the love of me understand how youtube can tell you that this song has a third party match content if I sing it myself and the composer has died many years ago!!!
Your video is vey good and you do have very compatible voices.
This St. Philip's Boys'Choir Video was one of their very earliest when the choir was still quite traditional. Can I suggest you view some the more recent Libera videos to see what can be achieved with boys' treble voices once the restrictions of tradition have been removed.
Best Wishes, Paul

Hi boyscout403, I launched this video on YouTube some four years ago along with "Be Still My soul" and "Light the Candles". They were copied from a VHS tape recorded by a St. Philip's Boys' Choir enthusiast from a BBC (UK) broadcast. They were three of the fourteen tracks on their first album "Sing For Ever", released in 1988.I have these three videos on a DVD. Contact me if you'd like a copy but bear in mind VHS quality is only marginally better than the YouTube vids.

You are right about the boy's names. Their voices went very well together. however they were never part of Libera. Jaymi & Sam sang from around 1984 to about 1989 on recordings released as "St. Philip's Boys' Choir". They are not mentioned on the recording from 1990 released under the group's name of that period, "Angel Voices". 1990 to 1998. It was for the release of the CD "Libera" in 1999 that the first use of "Libera" was made as the group's name .
