How to make a Matchox Pinhole Camera - Eduard Piel

Items you will need to make this camera:
Empty drinks can (metal tin)
Small matchbox (50x35mm)
BRAND NEW 35mm camera film
OLD 35mm film canister with some film sticking out (ask for it at your local film developer)
Plastic page binder (this will act as the film clicker)
Black (electrical) tape
Clear tape
Thin black marker
Thick black marker
Scissors
Scalpel/Stanley knife
(Large) ballpoint pen
Sharp pin
Ruler

TO TAKE A PHOTO:
Wind the new (unexposed) film into the old canister. If you have taped the plastic binder correctly it will click when you wind the canister. Use 8-10 clicks after each exposure.
Exposure time is between 1-3 seconds outside in daylight
3-5 seconds when cloudy and
1-10 minutes indoors depending on lighting.
The shutter is your exposure, when you lift it you expose your photo.

can you get the film developed with the pinhole matchbox camera? i have to make a pinhole camera for a science project, plzz help!!! thx!!!

@sgmagers Yeah, just take it to your local photo shop/chemist and they can develop the film for you.

Hi does the film from the new roll go into the old roll of film? Im quite confuse as to how the film actually works.. like wat actually happens to the film.. Could you help me out? much appreciated!!

@benjylim100 Yes correct. the new roll winds into the old roll. Once you finish all your pictures take the camera apart and take both canisters to the photoshop to get them developed. Tell them to develop the pictures in the old canister but with the settings that are displayed on the new one. Trial and error, just go for it and take some photos.
