People make fun of him for saying that, but he's actually hit a really key point in this immigration debate. If America decides to become a closed society, then we are sending the wrong message to a globalizing world. China and India are going to create the jobs of the next century and more and more americans are going to have to look to global markets for jobs. This is not the time to build fences! Now, illegal immigration needs to be stopped, but we need a clever alternative to a silly fence.
