This is a song that was written by my Russian friend Schtichmus.. When he gave it to me it sounded like a Jean-Michel Jarre song in style. I saw great potential in the song as a piano ballad so I began the arduous task of retro-engineering his original song into its current state. IMHO Schtichmus is a compositional genius, but I found that with my FL Studio experience and vast VST arsenal I was able to affect changes to the song for the better that went above and beyond the basic remix. Thus we arrive at this composition here. I don't want to go into to much detail as to who did what, but suffice it to say it was entirely a team effort.

It is with great pleasure that I now bring this, my own reimagining of Schtichmus song, to America Shoga style. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did bringing it to new life.

Special Thanks goes to Schtichmus for the original masterpiece. The era of world unity and peace are at hand. Let's continue working together and lead by example, comrade.

To be perfectly clear, the original version of this song was written by Schtichmus in St. Petersburg, Russia. To the best of my knowledge this song has never before been released until now.

Here is the original song entitled "Rain":

  • Very Relaxing - 5 Stars.

  • Schtichmus and I thank you, sir.

Keep up the good work yourself.

  • The kick drums and rim hits are -SLIGHTLY- off-beat from the keys, but not too much that it interferes with the true quality of this tune. Perhaps it was intentional? Regardless, this is a very calming composition! 5 stars.

  • Good ear. It was that way in the original, I corrected most of it, but I left a little bit of it because it gave it a more human feel. Does it bother you? I realize now that I have to go back and remaster this song at a higher volume anyway, I COULD fix it.

  • Oh heavens no! It does not bother me at all, I see it as an offset of its own; a personal marking or signature in this music. It is there, but it is not obtrusive at all : )

    Don't touch! It's fine : )

  • Well, I still want to remaster it but thanks for paying attention enough to notice the details. That means I am getting to people. :)

    Good news...

I got another song coming out later today, a remaster from my first album "Microcosm". Now there's only one more song to remaster and that album will be completely finished (again). My new album "The Cleansing" is well under way. In the next week I hope to release another song for that album as well.

Thanks for your support. Please stay tuned.

  • Thanks Emily. I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • Thank you, Valery.

I am glad that my version of your original song pleases you. I don't know what I would have done if it had not. Not only am I hoping for future collaborations with you, I am PLANNING on it.

You sir, are a genius. Now just give me a little time to release a new song that's 100% my own, and I will go ahead and collaborate on a new song with you. That's right, NEW. The kind where we start from scratch and pass the file back and forth. The results should be interesting.

  • very nice and soothing :)
