Eritrea is on a quest to build its nation with sweat, not debt. Though impoverished by its war for independence, Eritrea is rich with spirit, resourcefulness and knowlege. The country has made a vow to recreate itself with the expertise of its people, not foreign capital. Since winning their independence, Eritreans have turned their energies inward, building self-sufficiency and rejecting any outside help that does not move them further toward political and economic autonomy.

  • My goodnes what a mighty people. This is amaizing Eritrea is so bleesd. This must be our mothers praying and our leaders hard working and good willing. What a moral and love to the mother land. You Eritrean I am so proud of you. When I see this kind of development I love my nation and country more and more. This nation will be the most modern and developed country in Africa.God bless you Eritrawiyan geganu, anbesatat.Awet n'hafash.

  • But then again, if you take a second look at these opportunists, you'd see they are the same individuals that were assisting meles in the 98/00 war. These are same people that were serving Ethiopia's interest during the 30 years of our people's struggle. Indeed the same individuals that were living a comfortable life in the west and EU while our fathers were fighting for Eritrea's independence. So you can see, they care very little if at all, about Eritrea and eritreans.

  • hahahah... the anti PFDJ opportunists associate everything with PFDJ, even the warsay-yekalo development program. To them warsay-yekalo building roads, hospitals, schools and constructing dams means being a slave for Isaias. I wonder where that kind of attitude will get them. If you read any of their articles they never talk about how they plan to rebuild Eritrea. They only attack Isaias and hook up with the very enemies of the country they are supposedly planning to "save".

  • How do this opportunists anti PFDJ intend to achieve what our poeple are achieving this amazing fixed capital developments? We all know that Eritrea can not afford to pay for it hiring professionals at this time. OK go ahead hate Isayas as much as you want, but he is not going to take the dams and infrustractures he is providing for the future generation with him to where ever he flees (as they say). Well, it is about time they sent him a thank you note.

".. Our goal is, ultimately, we will have not just to contend with the possibility or viability to provide for our subsistence needs, but also to provide for a substantial percentage for the rest of the world..."

  • This video is a testimony to the successful self-reliance program in bringing positive results. The key components here are, guts, courage, talents, hopes and willingness to make a difference. The best performance of these men and women on this video is an inspiration to all Eritreans and it quiets the voices that come from the self-doubting camps of the gloom and doom.

Asmarino5, Thank you for this video. I've watched over 5 times so far, and I'm still going to keep watching it more and more.
