www.itunes.com/app/hockeysniper --- Why has goal scoring gone down over the past 2 decades? Players are told to find the "open net" when they get a scoring chance. What does that even mean and think about how long that takes. Goalies play the angles, so why not the shooter?

This is an educational app that teaches the game player where to shoot for the best probability of scoring on the ice. Based on the real Score100goals Shooter Tutor.

If the player with the scoring opportunity knows the best places to shoot for the highest probability of scoring then he/she doesn't have to look up and find open net. Instead they're releasing the puck quicker before the goalie is set.

It supposed to teach you how to score when you're actually on the ice. More or a training aid then a game. If you can figure out where the best places to shoot based on where you're releasing the puck in the offensive zone then you have an advantage over the goalie who is used to a player picking his head up and searching for a place to shoot. You're quicker release will help you score more goals. But thanks for the helpful comment toobox.

***Biased statement because I designed the game***This app is meant to be educational. Yes, I think it's fun to play but more then anything I know a kid can learn where to shoot on butterfly goalies. If one kid comes into the slot area(Zone 3 as explained in the video) of the offensive zone and rips one by the goalies ear just as he's dropping into his butterfly position instead of into his waiting glove then it helped. I know it's not Assassin's Creed but it will teach you how to score.

Agreed, won't make you sniper because you are not actually shooting. But this game was meant for you to learn where to shoot in different zones, so that once you are on the ice, you realize "Hey I'm in this area and the best chances to score is to shoot here." Being able to snipe comes from practicing on the ice.

you should make a second app where the shot is actually in the zone where you are shoting from meaning the shot would be at an angle and either closer or farther away depending on the zone
