Poison Wood recognition and what to do if you get it. The Poison Wood tree is very toxic and can even lead to death. In the Keys they say that it is illegal to cut down because of some bird that eats its berries. The early natives used to tie enemies to the trees and they'd be dead within 3 days.

I agree with TPS. Don't hate it, just avoid it. The Brazilian pepper is an invasive exotic and should be removed.
