Have you ever thought of writing to the editor of the magazine? Perhaps they would even feature your letter.

What did tyra banks do on here? --just curious!

I don't think they're dissing You Tube vloggers. All they're saying is that there is a lot of info and advice about natural hair on the internet, and knowing your hair type is useful in trying to sort through it all. I know that once I found out my hair type I was a lot less overwhelmed by all the info on You Tube and the internet about natural hair. I love and Essence and all my natural hair YT vloggers.

that's not cool for them to do that. instead of trying to look down on bloggers and yt'ers, why not work with us..it's a win/win!

Honestly, I prefer seeing actual videos from everyday people without hidden agendas who just share their info and experiences with people like me. One can write an article in a magazine and say whatever with no actual proof, but the videos I watch actually have evidence of the things they say because they are showing me as they are telling me.

This was well said! Thank you!

Sorry about the mispelled words. Started to write what I wanted to say and forgot to check my spelling.

Is Essence even blacked owned any more? Because They never have articles that reflect my needs as a reader that is informative to me. When I went natural there was really no books on info that gave me th info I needed. Besides I need to see people actually using the produxts everyday. Rather than some person jumping on the band wagon for a profit. When something gets or becomes the next big thing they gotta profit frim it. Beside they never realy have anything in Essence anyway about women who

I have that issue and I saw that comment too
To be honest... I stopped subscribing to Essence a while ago, it's not the same magazine I read as a kid. Besides that, Essence is the LAST place I'd go to for NATURAL hair advice. When the natural hair movement started Essence was still ignoring the natural state of it's readers, they weren't there when the movement started. In fact they ignored it for quite some time. Why should I trust their advice now?
Thank you and the many others for the work you do, the video views speak VOLUMES!

When it comes down to it, its all about that might dollar. Essence is trying its best to hold onto a diminishing customer base because so many people are going natural and not using mainstream products/services/magazines to do it. I would take it as a compliment. :-)
