@zarakitten99 dutch shepherds are not german shepherds. they are its own breed. german shepherd are from germany (obviously), and the dutch shepherd originates from the netherlands. they are both shepherd type dogs, meaning they were originally bred to herd live stock. dutch shepherds are much leaner dogs compared to the german shepherd. mastiffs are dogs with shorter snouts and not typically used for herding (although ive heard rotties have been used to herd), but rather guarding.

aww sweet. Bit confused about dutch shepherds. Are they like a bigger brindle version of the GSD, or are they more of a mastiff type? xx
