Hand rolled sushi is a delicacy that you can make at home. In this video, raw food author and chef Jennifer Cornbleet shows you an easy sushi-rolling technique that will allow you to transform a few simple ingredients into a stunning party appetizer, pick-me-up snack, or meal.
To begin the rolling process, you'll be introduced to a sushi chef's 'secret weapon': a bamboo sushi mat. Flexible and slick, bamboo sushi mats make it easy to form your ingredients into a tight, firm roll.
You'll also get an introduction to a sushi chef's 'secret ingredient': nori seaweed sheets, the 'wrapper' that surrounds a sushi roll. And since not all nori is alike, Jennifer explains the difference between raw and toasted nori and reveals a simple way to tell them apart.
You'll also see how to use miso paste as a glue to hold your sushi filling ingredients in place and discover that you can be as creative as you wish in 'designing' your roll. Vegetables can be added in whatever order and proportion you like best.
Made without raw fish, mayonnaise, or other ingredients that need to be refrigerated, California Rolls are an excellent for picnics and beach parties.

you should maybe also try dampening your nori with a few spritz of water from something with a light mister. That way your nori wont be be crunchy and will have the softened effect of rice.
another option might be to spread your not tuna pate down first.... almost as though it were a bed of rice.

uhm, this one isn't a california roll. California roll, the carbs or maybe your pate here is supposed to go outside, and maybe put some sesame seeds on the outside. Good recepie tho!
