What would you say a safe range is for the 860? I'm idling just under 50 but under a load I've been in the upper 70's I believe.

@5m4dr Not all board have the same features. You would need to search for your model and go from there. Good luck

Out of Youtube your Gigabyte P55, You have the best and working Overclock. Your Method Helped me a lot my Overclock. 3.50 GHz and stable for 24 hours :)

Core i7 860 2.8GHz w/ Corsair H70
Mobo: Asus P7P55D-ELX
Does your process works the same way for the Asus Motherboard?

@cgisoul The principles are the same on any board but an ASUS board may have a different BIOS.
