PlayStation Move Fails The Calibration Test

Want to know why so many people are reflexively opposed to motion gaming? Because of shit like this. When me and my family want to play games, we just want to play them. Not go through hoops to get the shit working - proper light settings, 8-to-10 feet required in front of the tv, simon says touch your belt buckle, etc. And the EyeToy's success varies wildly depending on WHO is playing it - we tried to get the thing to Calibrate with my niece FORTY TIMES before it worked even once.

This video represented the third try with my niece, and it shows only a minute of the headache we went through. In this attempt, it took four minutes before it finally let her play.

I am directly telling her the instructions each step of the way. She is very smart and correctly does the proper button presses and movements on each prompt, guided by our hands.

have you tried going to the Accessory settings & going to the Calibrate Motion Controller menu?

or maybe it's because of the sun light coming in from the side view, because I couldn't really see your lil girl on screen when she was trying to calibrate.

The camera should automatically adjust to her height with a motorized tilt. That would probably solve the issue.

Good god man, you're not supposed to calibrate it TO her. You're supposed to calibrate it to the position on the screen because she is too short. How the hell did it take you hours and haven't figured that out yet?

The calibration is the easiest I have experienced. My 4 yr old daughter is able to do SC calibration with no problem. If it's bothering you this much go get it exchanged cuz it might be a lemon or just return the damn thing. But stop posting crap like this as if the hardware is total dud,
