  • Born in Eureka, CA.. Moved when I was young. Still miss CA... This video for some reason makes me want to move back more than ever... I've always known I'll end up back in CA.

  • @alexflum Some of us are just destined to keep boomeranging back this way.

Must be the weather, because it CAN'T be the cost of living. lol

  • Curt, You are right. This is a depression & I think you're right in thinking people are sidetracked. There is such a disconnect! I just said to Mike, "all you have to do is go on to YT & see what's on "people & blogs" & see what their talking about to know there is no real communication going on." Yes there are some, but as a whole there is this sense of, avoidance, apathy and disconnect. (cont')

  • @akfhome27 Google's helped push this site so closer toward commercialized "main stream" media that conversations (as we knew them on here a few years ago) really can't flow the same way anymore. I know that's turned A LOT of people off.

But the upload button is still there so...

    ;-)

  • I really enjoyed listening to your struggles yet your positivity about returning to LA. I often miss London & feel like I'm just on a crazy long vacation. I have done many things & I have moved house almost 30 times in my life. The truth is, I don't know where I belong & I am still in search for it. I'm also struggling to find myself but a tear came to my eye as I read the Mark Twain quote. It's as if I feel your frustration!! Loved the ending with the NY shirt. Very funny indeedy :)

  • @Featherflow Wow, 30 times... tho now that I think back I think I might be in the high 20s range myself (some of that is because my parents went through divorce and job transfers).

Figuring out where the heck you belong... yep, it sounds like you really do get it. That can be a hell of a frustrating process. Who knows, maybe for a lot of us "home" is less of a physical spot on the map and more just a state of mind we carry with us as we keep moving.

I really do <3 NY (but couldn't live there).

  • Curt! i was subscribed to your old channel. Just moved to SoCal a few months ago from Chicago. Love it here!

  • I don't know what happened? I have my theories and would talk about them. But would anyone listen? I'm afraid they wouldn't. It seems to me if it involves anything with substance and importance, the ears close.

  • @OhCurt Yes, almost 30 times and 3 countries!! Some of the moves earlier in my life were also due to parents divorcing & job transfers too :) You make a lot of sense about the "home" thing Curt. It's either that or we missed our calling in life. Perhaps joining the circus was the answer! :) p.s I just moved again lol

  • I know how you feel, I've been through it myself, at least you live in a gorgeous place, Southern California is beautiful...Enjoy...
