From their excellent 1972 album, here's the studio version of the (IMO) highlight of "American Graffiti"...I prefer the movie rendition, but this stands tall on its own merit
Thanks a bunch for this Original version ! For years I thought that I had imagined the " an 11 on an 10 point scale" lyric. This was changed to "bobbie socks and a poni-tail" for the American Grafitti version. Finding the Original Studio version here solved that mystery for me.
I like both versions. I guess they changed the lyric because rating babes on a 10 point scale was not really a 1950's or 60's thing as I recall.
WOW. I liked the movie version, but this one is great stuff. You really can hear the tight harmony with a great falsetto. Pure gold.
