The Rockers redebuted at a WWF house show on July 7, 1988. Due to WWF/WWe chairman Vince McMahon's desire to have his performers carry WWF/WWE-exclusive ring names, they were renamed, as simply "The Rockers. The Rockers continued their partnership, eventually splitting on December 2, 1991 during an incident on Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake's televised Barber Shop talk show promotional segment. Michaels superkicked Jannetty and threw him through a glass window on the set of Beefcake's talk show. Michaels partnered up with many other WWF/WWE superstars such as, Desiel/Kevin Nash & Triple H to form Dx D-Generation X all though Hbk's WWF/WWE career Had succsess in the singles and tag team divison, Marty Jannetty's career was short lived.

  • Who would have known that kid Shawn Michaels would one day become bigger than legendary status. Who would have known he'd become the greatest wrestler of all time.

  • Rockers in WWF = Official death of the AWA.

  • @TheCastellan marty had real life problems thats why he never got the push like shawn did

  • Shawn was just a few weeks away from turning 23 here.

  • to bad they never won WWE tag team Championship before they broke up

    for keep it

  • @JonathanVonErich So true..

  • @JonathanVonErich shawn and marty destroy AWA, ;)

  • @Krallify Uh !? Back in 1988 yes, the AWA was still there, they closed in 1991. In my opinion Shawn and Marty were the only good wrestlers in the AWA at this moment, and when they left for WWF in July the AWA had nobody to showcase, Curt Hennig left 1 or 2 weeks before the Rockers did, but even so the AWA was showing Hennig's matches on TV and pretended like he was still part of the company. Sad.

  • @JonathanVonErich AWA is steal ''working''??

  • @DannyCashMoney7295

Pity Marty got the short end of the stick.

Though I think Shawn was more interesting to watch in his tag team days, with all the stuff they did, but that's just me.

  • @ph1484 good

  • @shawndx100 That I agree with.
